We are a free all-ages gaming event open to the public. We bring local gamers and game developers together for a night of fun and games!

Local game developers will be demoing the cool games they have created or are actively working on for the public to check out. Please let them know what you think of their games! We’ll also have awesome international indie games running.

Oddwood Brewing is a family-friendly establishment offering tap beers, wine, ciders, frozen drinks, appetizers, salads, and thin crust pizza pies. Open until 10pm and the kitchen closes at 9:45. Oddwood is owned by two brothers who truly appreciate video games. There are arcade cabinets in the brewery and even more next door at The Oddcade. The patio is dog friendly. KG BBQ food truck on site features Egyptian style BBQ until 8pm.
Parking : If the parking lot is full, park across the street on Theo Drive or in the neighborhood behind on Manorwood Road.

When submitting a game make sure that it is playable with no game breaking bugs. The main question to ask yourself is: "Would I show this game at a convention?" If it's yes, then submit it below.

FAQ
What games will be at the event?:
Each month we host up to 8 local and international indie game developers who bring the games they have finished or they are actively creating. We avoid AAA games in the spirit of indie game development and to allow our attendees to experience games they might not find elsewhere.
What is the atmosphere of the event?:
We are a very laid-back event where everyone just has a good time and celebrates local and international indie game development together. We do not have announcements during the event so you can carry on with your conversations and gaming without being interrupted. Come and go as you please! The space for the event is small and can get loud, so feel free to explore other areas of the brewery like the outside patio or arcade to take a break.
When are events? When are event announcements made, and where can I see them?:
We update this website with the date of the next event. We announce each event on our Discord two weeks prior to the event, along with a cool graphical advertisement and further information about each of the games presenting at the event. We highly recommend that you join the Discord!
The event says it is all ages, but it happens at a brewery?:
Oddwood brewery serves food and non-alcoholic options and closes at 10pm. The environment feels much closer to a restaurant than a bar or night club. The brewery is open to all ages and is family friendly.
Are the games at this event suitable for all ages?:
Most of the games available to play at the event are suitable for all ages, but sometimes they may have increased blood / violence (especially around Halloween) and so parental discretion is advised. Many video games inherently contain some mild form of violence (shooting, punching, throwing, slicing, dicing).
How long has North Austin Game Night been running? How about a little history?:
The event started in March 2016 as “Retro Game Night” at Abel’s North Restaurant. In June 2016 it became “North Austin Game Night”. Around September 2017 Abel’s North closed and we moved the event to PS-35 Pizza. We had 2 events there and they closed around November 2017. In April 2018 we moved the event to Oskar Blues Brewery and had our last event there in November 2019. Oskar Blues closed due to COVID-19 and didn’t reopen for many years, and is now permanently closed. North Austin Game Night went on hiatus for many years and finally returned in March 2026 at Oddwood Brewery, where we’ve been running events since. While Oddwood Brewery is located in East Austin it is still technically North of the river ;) so we decided to keep the event name the way it is.

This event is organized by Dan Reese, Michael Taylor, Ted Anderson, and Bryan Chamberlin.
